HamiltonSPRINGFIELD - Cletys Isabella Hamilton, 95, of Springfield died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at St. John's Hospital.She was born April 27, 1907, in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of Amos Jackson and Laura B. Davis Garlits. She married Forrest Bud Hamilton in 1924 in Springfield; he died in 1960.Mrs. Hamilton worked for the Illinois Watch Co., Bud's Clear Lake Super Mart and Roberts Brothers. She also was a seamstress. She was a member of the Fifth Presbyterian Church and Pithian Sisters 32.

Garlits, 94, of Springfield died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Sangamon Care Center.She was born Sept. 27, 1909, in Mechanicsburg, the daughter of Amos Jackson and Laura L. Davis Garlits. She had been an assembler at Brown Shoe Factory and a housekeeper at Memorial Medical Center. Survivors: several nieces and nephews. Cremation rites were accorded by Cremation Services of Central Illinois in Chatham. Graveside memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oak Hill Cemetery, the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Staab Polk Memorial Home in Chatham in charge of arrangements.
Karlene P. GoldsbyKarlene P. Goldsby, 87, Sarasota, died Sept. 29, 2000.She was born April 8, 1913, in Springfield, Ill., and came to Sarasota in 1975 from there. She was a Presbyterian.Survivors include a daughter, Donna Harden, and a son, Hank A., both of Sarasota; a sister, Cletys Hamilton of Illinois; and two grandchildren.Services will be private.
